Terra-Belle Gardens is a small town in Georgia. It is the hometown of the rapper Thugnificent (AKA Otis Jenkins).
Terra-Belle is an extremely poor rural slum. Residents often have to choose between getting either more food or new clothes. Violent crime was a common occurrence; the murder rate was so high that the local police disbanded, and an electric fence was built to separate Terra-Belle from the outside world.
Trivia
- Thugnificent notes that Terra-Belle means "Beautiful Earth" in Latin, despite its appallingly low standard of living. Terra-Belle is also a near-homophone for "terrible", a more accurate description for this town.
